Our Team Is Here To Serve You
Long before the “Bobby and Sissi” team formed, Bobby engaged in buying and selling. From the 1970s, going to homes all over the San Diego area, this was his “college education”. Day after day he would travel around the county; he loved being self employed. Uniquely, for a quiet guy, he loved working with people he met.
Bobby was being taught as he was meeting the needs of the sellers
He was up before the sun, heading out early in the morning. While Bobby’s energy fueled his eagerness to scout out all the estate, yard and garage sales, it thrust him into this industry. Learning how to buy and sell at market value was teaching him how to make a better living. Developing people skills were a huge benefit. Being such a quiet guy, he was learning to communicate.
He was always bringing home treasures
Jack Brackney, Bobby’s father, was present every morning to hear Bobby’s account of his daily acquisitions. Bobby always had a story to tell, and his father was his best cheerleader. Seeing Jack’s joyful smile and laughter when Bobby got a great deal warmed my heart. He was so proud of his son, and Bobby wanted to help him in any way he could. Jack was a wonderful man, and a treasured and gifted father-in-law. As a result, his father was the source of much of Bobby’s childhood education and self esteem.
Jack Brackney Decoys listings are all over eBay,
so if you get a chance, look him up
Bobby worked with his dad before we married, making decorative folk, hardwood decoys. The fact is, he loved and was thrilled to be able to help his father in his business.
The picture above is from a home we did an estate sale in I believe Rancho Santa Fe. It was a lot of years ago. These gates were made by James Hubbell, an artist in the Southern California area. Check out his website. It would be a wonderful place to take your family to see. He is amazing at what he does.
