Estate Sale Services are more than just sales…
Our estate sale services are valuable to clients, encompassing a wide range of needs beyond the sale itself. For example, we handle vehicle and precious metals liquidation (including serving pieces, coins, jewelry, and bullion), hoarder cleanouts, and appraisals. This comprehensive approach is crucial. Indeed, our 2021 “temporary retirement” led to the creation of Brackney’s Precious Metals, specifically to facilitate the liquidation of these items for clients through a direct relationship with a local Tempe refinery.
I heard once that “specialization is for insects”.
Incorporating as many tools in our toolbox in this industry is imperative. As a result, from all of our experience, you can’t just meet one need, you need to be able to meet them all.

We have held so many sales over the years. They are all so different. We have seen such collections of the good, bad and the ugly. However, our job wasn’t to critic the items but to move them. We treated the least as if it was the best, because it was the best for someone.

The stories we could tell! It’s hard to comprehend the depth of experience reflected in such a scene—you never know what someone has been through. Yet, we’d walk in and exclaim, “Wow, when can we start?” The thrill of the hunt, the excitement of discovering something valuable, was intoxicating. And though we found things of great value, and it was incredibly fun, we were always eager to finish.
Take a look at some of the vehicles we have sold
Initially, the work involved cars, progressing to motorcycles, off-road vehicles, and trailers. This expanded to include skip loaders, backhoes, cement mixers, and generators. One particularly memorable job at the Salton Sea involved a two-month cleanup of two hoarder homes, a Chevron station, a 10,000-square-foot warehouse overflowing with contents, and eight 40-foot sea crates filled to capacity. That was a job I won’t soon forget.
And yet, another service we off, Gold and Silver Liquidation
While Bobby was nursing a hip injury, we ventured into this service. We knew it would be less invasive on his already tired joints. We had been liquidating precious metals since the start of our estate sale services. Knowing the process we were confident in this venture. Given that we were in need of a connection, when we moved to Arizona, we integrated with a local Phoenix area refinery.
Another service we offer, Appraisals
One thing to keep in mind about an appraisal of items. There are those items such as gold and silver, coins, bullion, serving pieces that hold their value. Other items might also, but ultimately, it is usually what the market will bear. Its value is what someone is willing to pay for it. My father-in-law used to tell Bobby, “a quick nickel is better than a slow dime”. Sometimes you have to let go, if the object is to sell it and not marry it.
